I shall miss Jack, as knew him from church, really from a young child, as my family always went to Scared Heart. I moved back to Jackson County in 2003 and sing in the ladies choir. Jack and Bea usually arrived shortly after I did to church. Sure will miss his wave and smile. Denise Millet
he Officers of Knights of Columbus Council 568 in Burlington wish to take this opportunity to express our condolences on the passing of Jack Gavin. Jack is the father of member Joel Gavin. We all start life in a watery tomb, unknowingly headed for a birth tunnel and to a life of breathing air, and water no more. We hauntingly move toward another tunnel ,a "birth" into a much better "world". As Christians, we know that Christ entered that tunnel through death and came back to His followers to reassure us where that tunnel leads. Be not afraid, I go before you always, come follow me. For I go to prepare a place for you. To his family, may your faith, friends and family bring you peace and comfort at this time. May the perpetual light shine upon Jack.
Bea & family--I don't know that I can ever recall seeing Jack without a smile on his face! Always friendly and willing to visit for a minute. Thinking of all of you as you cope with your loss.

Some of my favorite childhood memories was sliding in next to my godfather Jack during Gavin euchre games knowing he would eventually let me sit on his lap and secretly slip me a few dimes or quarters. He was always so nice.
