I am sorry to hear that Carol has passed on, my heart goes out to you, Tom and family, all the people who shared her life with, I have so many memories of her, the apartment me, Sue, and Carol shared in the late 1960s, her little Metropolitan car, it was so cute and unique, just like Carol, and the kidnapping and ransom notes of my stuffed frog, running into her at her shop and laughing so hard reminiscing that I could hardly walk, what a great sense of humor she had, how talented she was, I still have pictures of our babies together, Rickie, Jeff, and Karen, the three Allen cousins, she will be missed.
So sorry to hear of Carols passing. Such a lovely lady, who will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
It's not often in one's life that you meet a person and instantly, the two of you "get" each other. Carol and I hit it off from the very beginning and would engage in a bit of wicked humor together, and LOVE IT! I'll always treasure her sense of humor, an uncanny sensitivity, and worldly wisdom. Carol just "knew". May she now see all there is to see and have all her questions answered. I just wish she could let me in on it. Love you, my dear little Carol.
My Buddy "Crutch", angels have met you and now know of your many artistic talents and your precious, clever personality. This day had to come, to send you sailing away with no more pain. Friends, artists and confidants we will always remain. Your creativity was endless and prolific! So many stories and memories ... your Davenport Central High School Class of 1964 Classmates will remember too. Tom and family, comfort to you.
Carol lives on in you and all of her masterpieces.

Carol and I bonded almost instantly when we met in Bellevue in the mid 1990s - all because I was told she had a cat in her shop. We started having lunch together and it became a regular habit to lick our plates clean at Carousel Corner after indulging in Sally's bread pudding. I am proud to have had her call me "friend" and want her family to know she will NEVER be forgotten.
Carol was an awesome sister-in-law. She helped me take care of my son when he was born, if I wasn't watching Richie, she was watching Jeff. They grew up together like brothers. She was my friend before she was my sister-in-law and I was so happy when she and Tom got married. She was the most creative person I know in whatever she did. I will miss you Carol, I know you have peace now. Anne Letterman
Carol was an awesome sister-in-law n we had many good laughs together. I’ll never forget a birthday t-shirt stating she was older than me. We laughed about it often. She was so gifted and there never was a project she wouldn’t tackle. She was so very proud of the grandkids n loved her hedgehogs. I’ll miss you Carol n now the pain is gone and you are with your folks and brother. Love you always
Carol and I worked together at the Old Mill gallery we shared many days laughing while we worked. She had visions of what she wanted to accomplish and nothing was going to stop her. She was one of the most fun-loving people I have ever known.
