Betty McKinnon age 72 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Saturday morning January 82005.0 at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa Iowa.A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday January 112005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa with Rev. Norman Hieman of the First Baptist Church in Maquoketa Iowa officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. on Monday January 102005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery Rural Maquoketa Iowa.Elizabeth J. Betty Frye was born on March 7 1932 in Clayton Iowa to Clarence Frye and Clara Regina (Demplewolf) Frye. As a child she was raised by her mother and step-father- Charles Hute. She was educated in Maquoketa schools. She married Tolbert Bowling in 1948 in Maquoketa Iowa. She then married Carlton ?Carl? McKinnon in 1967 in Connecticutt.Betty was a homemaker and had done babysitting. She enjoyed reading going out to eat and spending time with her family. Her family was the most important part of her life.Betty is survived by: children- Roger(Debbie) Bowling of Maquoketa IA Pamela(Mrs. Edward) Waryas of Smithfield VA Rodney(Karen) Bowling of Nederland TX & Steven(Rhonda) Bowling of Bettendorf IA; 15 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren; & a sister- Doris(Mrs. Alfred) Ehl of Maquoketa IA. She was preceded in death by her parents 1 granddaughter 1 brother & 2 sisters.An Elizabeth J. Betty McKinnon Memorial Fund has been established.
