The mission of Pet Passings of Eastern Iowa is to assist families in a caring, dignified and loving manner when a pet dies.

Your pet's love is unconditional and most families feel the loss of a pet in the very same way they would feel the loss of a human family member, and sometimes more.
Our History
We've been called upon through the years to care for many pets, but never really offered this type of service until 2007. In our 72-year history we have cared for dogs, cats, birds, pigs and squirrels to name a few. Caring for pets is an extension of what we already do on the human side. We are the only area funeral home that is offering pet cremations and services and by offering this type service we are able to continue with our long history of providing caring, respectful, progressive and innovative services to our families. We realize pets are integral part of your family, and we are committed to caring for the entire family.
Pet Products & Services
Pet Passings of Eastern Iowa also offers a full assortment of pet products and services. We have a number of farewell service packages and memorialization products that include a full line of pet urns, markers, keepsake jewelry, and a grief resource library with literature on pet loss and pet grief that is directed towards helping children. Losing the family pet can often times be a child's first experience with death, and it is especially important to make that experience positive.
As part of our pet cremations and services, we can offer the following:
- 7 day a week service
- Transportation of your pet from your home or veterinary hospital or accept your pet at our facility
- Private Family Farewells in our Pet Passings gathering area
- A Private Cremation
- Placement of Farewell Tribute with Photo on our website
- A Personalized Pet Paw Print or Photo Guardian Angel Ornament
- Complimentary Pet Video Tributes (up to 20 photos) of your pet's life
- Pet's ashes placed within a complimentary container
- Certificate of cremation
- Unique selection of pet urns, jewelry and memorial keepsakes
