Memories of Franklin
Franklin and I were MHS classmates and shortly after we graduated in the summer of 1949, he and I and another classmate, Larry Lien (who is also deceased) decided we would go out to a fancy supper clud and have a good meal. All dressed up with white shirts and ties, we went to Meeker's in Savana, IL. A man greeted us at the door and asked if we would like to step into the bar for a drink before eating. We were all of 17 years old and both surprised and delighted at such a request. So, there we were, all dressed up and, just like the grown-ups. enjoying a beer before dinner! God Bless you Fitz! Maybe someday the old Class of '49 will have a reunion in the Great Beyond! Best Regards, Bob Scholl.

I did not know Franklin, but I am also a Fitzpatrick-some where along the way, I'm guessing that we are probably related. I just had to write in and say that I am sorry for your loss and for the loss of another Irishman. I too lost my Dad, Fitz was his nickname too. Looks like he has a lovely family to carry on the Fitz legacy. God bless.
I remember growing up knowing Fritz and Joan. My Dad (Bob Koontz) and him were very good friends and he was always at our house. They went on alot of vacations together. One picture we have of them was from Arizona, they were laying on the sand looking for water. Fritz had a very funny laugh. He was great with VW bugs and he always drove them . He will be missed but not forgotten!!
Grandpa, you were such a kind a caring person. never a dull moment with you. Gone but never forgotten:)
I luv you dad and you will be greatly missed
So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
Thoughts and prayers to the family.. I had so many fun times with Fitz and the city boys when they would come out to Hurstville. He was a good man!
Well, going to work each night just won't be the same without visiting with Fitz. I always enjoy both he and his lovely wife while working the night shift. RIP Fitz!
RIP Grandpa Fitz Love and miss you
R.I.P. Uncle Fritz.......
Joan and all of Frank's family, I was so sad to hear of Frank's passing. I became acquainted with Frank when he worked for the city and I owned The Loft. He and several of his co -workers would come to The Loft after work for a drink. We always had a lot of fun and laughs. After Frank went to Maquoketa Care Center I would visit with him and his wife Joan, who was also a resident there, when I was their visiting my aunt. After Frank had his stroke it was so difficult for him to not be able to talk and tell you what he wanted to. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Frank's family during this very difficult time.
