Memories of Daryl
i love you grandpa...
For the last 10 years you have adopted me into your family. I am so glad that I have all the great memories with you. There is no way that I could ever forget you. Like you always said "your innocent" :) I'll always remember our long talks, and how Nikita and I tee-peed your vehicle.. we laughed about that for years! :) I hope you are at peace now, and you are not suffering anymore. Now you can take care of Dale while you are up there :'( I love and miss you so much.. You were the best adoptive father I could have EVER asked for!!
For the last 46 years you was my dad
But now you've been called home. I know your not suffering anymore, and that's the one good thing.
I hope you know I was always proud of you, I know I didn't always show it. You worked hard and took care of the family.
I hope someday to be to be half the dad that you didn't have to be.
Rest now, you deserve it.
I love you dad.
I submitted a family group photo of the day I first met Daryl which was only a few years ago. I am taking the photo so I am not pictured however, Paul's first wife Toni is. She sits next to Daryl and if you look, his hand is perched on top of her head. I laugh whenever I see this picture because it's a perfect illustration of what I think Daryl's life with family and friends was mostly about. Making people laugh and feel loved. God Bless You my friend and Rest In Peace. Thank you for your love.
I have knowen Daryl most of my life, he was like a second dad too us; dad and him worked together on cars and such he helped our parents to keep us girls in line, :) going to miss you love u lots
