    William's Obituary

    William "Bill" James Nims, Sr., age 77, son of Harry A. and Belvelbel Nims, was born April 19, 1934 in Maquoketa, Iowa. He passed away on March 9, 2012 in Springfield, Missouri.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

    He is survived by two sons: William James Nims, Jr. of Anamossa, Iowa, Kevin E. Nims of Sperry, Iowa; two daughters: Sandra Campbell of Cleveland, GA, and Crystal Rindels of Waterloo, IA; two brothers: Donald Nims of Indiana and Rodger Nims of Florida; 3 grandchildren and a wonderful friend and companion for many years, Donna Stevens of the home.

    Bill served in the Marine Corp and was a Sgt. (E5) when he was discharged.

    Bill had several hobbies that he enjoyed, they included, farming, playing cards and his auctions.

    He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14th, from 6 to 8 PM in the Evans Funeral Home.

    Burial will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa.

    The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family locally.
