Bruce's Obituary 
Bruce A. Heuer, 49, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his home in Maquoketa after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at 10 A.M., Monday, July 9, 2012, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 P.M. on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Burial will be at the Bridgeport Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa.
Bruce Alan Heuer was born on August 9, 1962 in Davenport, Iowa, to William Robert and Alice Marie (Wisckerchen) Heuer. He was a 1980 graduate of DeWitt Community High School. He married Brenda Sue Baresel on May 19, 1984 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Bruce had worked at Dynagear in Maquoketa for 15 years and then for AY McDonald in Dubuque as a machinist for over 10 years until retiring due to ill health.
Bruce attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. He enjoyed camping, and working on cars and small motors. He especially enjoyed tinkering in the garage listening to Bob Seger, and spending time with his family.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Brenda Heuer of Maquoketa, IA; children, Alisha Heuer of Maquoketa, IA, and Andrew Heuer of Des Moines, IA; sisters, Deb (Jerry Baresel) Costello of Andrew, IA, Becky (Bob) Ineichen of Buffalo, IA, and Kim (Mike) Menster of Cascade, IA; brothers, Bob (Brenda) Heuer of Preston, IA, Jim (Karie) Heuer of Columbus, NE, Bill (Pam Jennings) Heuer of Davenport, IA, and Joe (Tara) Heuer of Dubuque, IA; numerous nieces and nephews; and very close friends, Larry and Michelle Vennard of MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth Ann Beranek.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Bruce A. Heuer memorial fund has been established.

i`m so sad that uncle bruce died but i was so lukey that uncle bruce was my godfather and i will never forget all the good memories he left me.

I have so many wonderful memories growing at the Heuer
Farm. Brenda, you have my heart felt sympathy. When I heard of Bruce' s passing, I instantly had a lump in my stomache. If there is anything i can do, don't hesitate to ask.

I just wanna Thank you uncle Bruce for helping my mom when my dad was sick and taking care of us kids.And I also want to thank you for making myy daughter Moriha into the strong smart girl she is today without you shed been gone forever thank u for being one of the five of my favorite uncles.you always had a smile that lit up any room I only wish we could of spent more time together.I lovee you say hello to everyone in heaven for me :( you will be in our hearts forever and you will be truely missed.
