The Traditional Journey: The Traditional Journey is a standard service that includes all the basic offerings of professional services that you can receive at all funeral homes. The Traditional Journey includes evening visitation and a Journey service the following day. We also include a Video Tribute production, Customized Name Tags, Journey Obituary Placement on our website, a Memories Board, Greeters/Service hosts, Lounge/Cafe area with gourmet coffee and cookies, and aftercare support group/services

The Natural Journey: The Natural Journey is offered without the use of caskets or chemicals allowing the family a holistic chance to say goodbye to their loved one. The Natural Journey Is designed to attend to the emotional needs of your family and give those who need it the opportunity of To say Journey to your loved one.

The Simple Journey: Our Simple Journey Attends to the emotional, relational and spiritual needs of your family and friends by providing opportunities for sharing, gathering and reflecting. Our Simple Journey begins with a Natural Journey. This unique experience is designed to provide the family the opportunity of seeing their loved one and is offered without the use of caskets or chemicals allowing the family a holistic opportunity to say goodbye to their loved one. The natural Journey is limited to 30 minutes in our funeral home. We also include a Video Tribute production, Customized Name Tags, Journey Obituary Placement on our website, a Memories Board, Greeters/Service hosts, Lounge/Cafe area with gourmet coffee and snacks, and aftercare support group/services.

The Healing Journey: The Healing Journey is for you, your family and friends. This experience is designed to attend to the emotional, relational and spiritual needs of each generation in your family and each person that participates in this experience with your family. A healthy grief cycle is fostered by providing a time and place for hearing, sharing, seeing, gathering, connecting, reflecting and celebrating the life that your loved one lived. A meaningful and memorable experience will foster healing for each generation of your family. We also include a Video Tribute production, Customized Name Tags, Journey Obituary Placement on our website, a Memories Board, Greeters/Service hosts, Lounge/Cafe area with gourmet coffee and snacks, and aftercare support group/services.

The Christian Journey: The Christian Journey celebrates God’s goodness and provision in a believers life while remembering our blessings and being surrounded by our community of faith. The Christian Journey is held at your Church. Your family will never have to visit a funeral home. Your loved one will lie in state at your church and have services that clearly reflect their faith. We also include a Video Tribute production, Customized Name Tags, Journey Obituary Placement on our website, a Memories Board, Greeters/Service hosts, and aftercare support group/services.

Exceptional Personalization Services

Lounge/Café Area: Our funeral home offers a visitors lounge where we provide refreshments. We also allow you the convenience to enjoy snacks and meals in this area. Catering at additional cost is available that can be served in our lounge area.

Udressit Memorial Envelopes: This is the home of the Udressit Memorial Envelope. It was invented here by Don Carson and is one of the most innovative and helpful products available to funeral homes across the world at this time. This little envelope with removable label was designed to move unwanted pressure off of our families by eliminating the family’s burden of searching for addresses and filling out acknowledgment card envelopes. Since we implemented this envelope, over 90% of memorial contributors fill out the Udressit address label correctly. This is a marquee item at our funeral home and available to any family we serve.

Greeters/Service Hosts: Our greeters will be present throughout your visitation and service to open doors, greet your guests and attend to all your needs.

Grief Support Services: We facilitate grief support groups with our afterloss coordinator, Charlie Easterly. You may reach Charlie at charelieeasterly@carsonandson.com.

Life Commemorative Video: Memories are one of the best legacies that exist after the death of someone loved. This DVD Video is the ultimate tool for sharing those memories. A collage of pictures sent to music, this video can be played continuously at the visitation as well as an audiovisual at the ceremony. This is one of the special things that we like to do for our families. This will become a keepsake for the family and will last for generations. It is free to any family that selects services our funeral home.

This Is Your Life Portrait: We are able to take any favorite photograph and turn it into a beautiful portrait. This can be an individual picture of how your loved one always looked to you, a family picture at the holidays, or a picture of a meaningful event. This will become a keepsake for the family, and will be displayed in a Classic Gold Leaf Frame. This is one of the special things that we like to do for our families, and is free to any family that selects services that include a visitation or funeral/memorial/celebration of life ceremony.

Customized Family Name Tags: Customized Name Tags are standard procedure here and are done for the immediate family. Any family that selects a visitation or funeral/memorial/celebration of life ceremony will receive the name tags at no charge. Additional name tags can be done for more family members upon request.

Internet Obituary, Photo Tribute Board & Guestbook: This is free to any family that selects our funeral home. We will also place obituaries on our website for deaths that occur anywhere with a local connection to an area relative or friend.

Thumbies: Sometimes it’s the small things that mean the most. We have teamed up with Meadow Hill Company to offer this unique service to all of our families. Keepsake jewelry is crafted from the unique fingerprints of your loved ones. These gold and silver treasures are a constant reminder of our children, spouses, parents, grandparents, friends, and pets.

Balloon Release: The rising balloons remind us of the person lost and our symbolical of letting go. The release would include up to 20 biodegradable balloons, desired verse, poem or nameplate card with email address attached.

Guardian Angel Keychain: Guardian Angels are very popular and the customized keychain with photo is a lasting tribute that you can have for yourself or bought in bulk to be handed out at the funeral service for all attendees to have as a keepsake.

Favorite Memory Table: This is a table that gives family and friends the opportunity to write to down their favorite memory about the loved one, that is then shared and treasured by the family as a keepsake. Often these memories are shared by the clergy or eulogist during the service. The “Favorite Memory Table” is set up at the visitation, and gives everyone a chance to begin telling their stories about the loved one. We establish significance as we talk about the person, and the stories that are told, will one day become great memories that stay in the families hearts forever. These memories often provide great comfort during the difficult times as well. Includes the “Favorite Memory Table”, “Favorite Memory Paper” and “Memory Basket”.

Flower Collage: A series of digital pictures and images are taken of flower pieces delivered to the funeral home and placed in the register book for future reference. This is very helpful when trying to remember what a particular flower arrangement looked like or when writing out acknowledgment cards.

Garden Rock: A favorite verse or hobby - these are just some of the items that can be engraved on the rock. Many designs are available to reflect your loved one's interests and lifestyle and can become a permanent memorial fixture at your house or favorite memory place.

Montage Remembrance Tile: This is a memorial tribute tile done in your loved one’s favorite scene or hobby. Includes dates and photo. Memories Board: Memories are one of the best legacies that exist after the death of someone and the “Memories Board” has been around for some time now. We offer 1 “Memories Board” free to any family that selects our funeral home.

Celebrant: We understand people may wish to choose an alternative to traditional funerals. For families who wish to arrange a life celebration/tribute, we have a caring, sensitive professional to assist you. A celebrant will meet with families, record histories and arrange and officiate a celebration service. The celebration service may be held in the funeral home, but can also be at any appropriate location and may or may not include a service at a graveside. Bottled Water: The experience of working with many families has shown us that they can get very thirsty during a visitation, especially one that involves lots of memory sharing and visiting. Even though we have a fountain on premise, family feedback has told us that the convenience of having bottled water available far outweighs the cost, especially when the need for thirst arises.

A Token Of Remembrance: Give each guest or family member that attends the service A Token of Remembrance Bag. This is a personalized keepsake bag that has the theme of a Fisherman, Golfer, or Wildflowers.

Bagpiper: Bagpipes have long been associated with funeral ceremonies. Though many times heard playing at the cemetery, the bagpiper can be used to lead the casket in or out of the church, or commence or conclude a ceremony at any location.

Videotape of On-Premise Ceremony: This includes transferring the tape to DVD. In some cases we are able to videotape an off-premise ceremony for an additional cost.

Audiotape of On-Premise Ceremony: This includes taping an on-premise ceremony. In some cases we are able to audiotape an off-premise ceremony for an additional cost.

Horse Drawn Funeral Carriage: We try to offer many unique services to our families and this is available to them and quoted upon request.
